The RiverCity Motorway Group is in charge of the $2 billion project to deliver Queensland’s North-South bypass tunnel. The project, which commenced in 2006, is scheduled for completion in 2010. In this session, RiverCity’s CEO, Flan Cleary, will share his share his experiences with the North-South Bypass and M7 projects and outline the key attributes of delivery success for major projects, including:

The Civic Place Project is a redevelopment of the Chatswood CBD area in Sydney. The project is being run by the Willoughby City Council and is significant for the number of stakeholders impacted by the project. These include 60,000 local residents, hundreds of local businesses, contractors, designers, builders and the local council. 11:00 Refining The Approach To Infrastructure Delivery Through A New PPP Template
The Surat Basin Rail project is currently in planning phase and consists of an open-access, multi-user rail link connecting the coal reserves located in west of Toowoomba with the Port of Gladstone. As a joint venture between Xstrata Coal, Anglo Coal, Queensland Rail (QR), Industry Funds Management and ATEC, the project, which is due for completion in 2012, will offer an opportunity for open access railway for coal and freight within this regional area of Australia. In this session, Surat Basin’s CEO, Graham Dooley, who was formerly the Managing Director of United Utilities, will cover:
- An outline of the Surat Basin Railway development
- Creating a new equity investment and development alternative
- Developing State motivation to gain extra benefit
